TREATISE

 

James Sizemore’s third album presents a set of musical designs, presented in the black and white shades of the solo piano. Written and recorded by the composer, each piece contains a single musical puzzle which unfolds throughout the piece. Lacking the diverse timbres of the orchestra and electronics heard in the composer’s previous releases, the solo piano highlights each puzzle without the additional colors to hide behind.

The album was recorded and performed at the composer’s home, and mixed in his studio over the summer of 2021.

The first single from the album will be available 10.15.2021.

The first 3 tracks on the new album will be released on 3.20.2020, but the rest of the album will not be available until this summer on the streaming platforms and stores. These platforms favor singles over albums for playlist placement.
